The aim of the conference is to provide academician, researchers, industrialist, scientists, and research scholars about the technological advancement in the field of information and communication technologies for smart systems to exchange, share their ideas and update their knowledge in the latest development and emerging areas of study. Researchers are now working in the relevant areas and the proceedings of ICICTSS 2021 plays a major role to collect those noteworthy works in a single ground. The theme of the conference ‘International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Smart Systems’ will present cutting edge engineering approaches to data technologies and communications. It will focus on latest advances on the engineering task of building and deploying distributed, scalable, and reliable data infrastructures and communication systems. The conference will have a prominent applied focus on data technologies and communications with aim to promote the bridging from fundamental research on data science and networking to data engineering and communications that lead to industry products, business knowledge and standardisation. The above tracks in the conference will bring together the ideas, innovations and the experimental results of academicians, researchers, and scientists in their domain of interest, in the areas of Information Technology, Communication Systems and Signal Processing for smart systems.
Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology (GCET) were founded by Smt. Shakuntla Educational and Welfare Society. Mr. Suneel Galgotia, a resolute visionary, committed to provide world class technical and management education is the founder Chairman, apart from being the Chancellor of Galgotias University and Managing Director of Galgotia Publications Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi. Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology, established in 2000, synergizes theoretical knowledge and practical skills to promote all round professional competence. Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology has acquired a unique status in UP, the NCR region and the country as a whole by breaking new grounds in producing professionals of national and international acclaim and has been recognized as one of the top-ranking institutions imparting high quality education. The Campus, spread over 19 acres is located on an 8-lane expressway connecting Greater Noida with Noida and New Delhi. It is truly a self-sufficient campus with spacious and beautifully academic buildings, separate, fully secure and comfortable hostels for boys and girls, seminar and conference halls as well as indoor and outdoor games facilities and a multi-cuisine cafeteria.
Electronics and Communication Engineering is headed by Dr. Lakshmanan. M and has 30 faculty members who have received their PG and Ph.D degrees from top-notch universities. The faculty members of this department are consistently doing well in teaching and research. The department offers B.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) with 180 intake.
Presently, B.Tech ECE programme has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
B.Tech programmes attract the brightest students of the state every year. The placement record of the department has always been impressive. Almost 100% of the students get job from the campus placement and many of them are getting it in core companies every year. We encourage the students to do design and research based projects during their B.Tech degrees. The department has state-of-the art laboratories in almost all the areas of Electronics and Communication that has the latest simulation tools to cater to various specializations and is equipped with facilities for measurement, characterization and synthesis of experimental as well as theoretical results. The department has organized several guest lectures, short-term training programmes, workshops, seminars, symposiums and conferences in the field of Electronics and Communication. The department is actively involved in R&D activities regularly publish their research in reputed Journals and Conferences. The research areas include Wireless Communication and Networks, Microwave Engineering, Antenna design, VLSI Design, Signal and Image Processing, Communication Engineering and Embedded Systems.
